Abstract

Entrance gate at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS). The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and rabbis in Denver, Colorado. It was located on West Colfax Avenue just outside of Denver.

Application for admittance to JCRS type written for Ida Malbin and dated August 3, 1916. Information on the form includes her age, birth place, residence, nearest relatives, and signed by Ida Malbin. The back of the form has information in Hebrew. The middle section of the back is filled out by hand in ink. It reads, "Application No. 3704, Case #2594, Ida Malbin's address, Date of Admission August 9, 1916, Left October 27, 1916."

Abstract

Silver loving cup presented to Dr. Adolph Zederbaum at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS) on January 29, 1909, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Zederbaum was treasurer of the JCRS. The loving cup has two raised rings of flowers and handles with leaf patterns and measures 22.5 centimeters wide and 22 centimeters high.
